ABOUT US

Who We Are

La Veta is a platform of journalists, communicators and academics specialising in organised crime and human rights across Latin America.

We investigate and analyse the new ways in which political, economic and criminal powers compete for territorial control across Latin America, as well as the strategies of resistance put in place by the marginalised communities most affected.

We connect political and economic trends as well as criminal dynamics with the experiences of communities living on the margins, revealing the power dynamics reshaping Latin America.

We produce investigative journalism and analysis that brings overlooked stories to light, providing context and perspectives rooted in the communities at the centre of the changes taking place.
